Women were only one of the groups suffering from oppression. Slaves did not have rights at all. A majority of them were African-American, as the end of the revolution brought the Native American population to a state of constant fleeing and migration, and indentured White servants were hardly used anymore. Black Slaves worked in even worse conditions than women, and were constantly tortured, raped, and even killed. It wasn’t until Abraham Lincoln’s time that their enslavement became illegal, and even then, Blacks didn’t get their rights until the 1960’s. Black Slaves were being used as early as the 1500s, and grew more in popularity as enslaved Indians, such as the Taino People, died out. They were
