No one truly knows who they are meant to be at such a young age and those who able to figure it out are lucky. Furthermore, there is a small number of people that are able to say they died doing something they loved. However, many people go through different experiences to discover what they want to accomplish in life. A young adventurer named Chris McCandless had a tragic death in Alaska due to him being unprepared for the wild. It seemed that he went into to nature on account of his love for exploring uncivilized locations due to his ideals. Although, his death had caused a variety of people to believe that he was insane and dull for entering a place with little knowledge of it. To tell the truth, Chris was a respectable man in various ways, but he was also unreasonable with his actions. Chris McCandless has proven to be an honorable man for doing great things at a young age. He was unlike any other teenager in his generation considering that he would prefer to help those in need on the weekends. McCandless would talk to “... prostitutes and homeless people, buying them meals, earnestly suggesting ways they might improve their lives” (Krakauer 113). Not many minors would decide to spend their weekends like that especially due to their desire to spend time with their friends in public or at a party. Also, people seem to ignore prostitutes and homeless people as a result of them being outcasted in society for not being able to maintain a stable job. In addition to helping those in need, Chris committed a generous act at the end of his college experience.
