The constitution was mostly written by James Madison, James madison was known as the father of the constitution. The Constitution was really important because it took over 4 months to right and back then it was basically the law book. James Madison was also the 4th president of the United States. He became the orange county committee of safety. James Madison Stated ´´I am more of a writer than a fighter´´. That's when he started writing the Constitution. Around 1776 James Madison met Thomas Jefferson, and then they became really good friends. In 1777 Madison did not get the seat for virginia assembly, after that he became the governor council. Madison was a really good supporter of the American French Alliance. In 1780 he went to philadelphia to serve as one of virginia's delegates to continental congress. In 1783 he returned to virginia to be a state legislator. There he helped vigina to pass the freedom of reigon law. When he became the state legislator he gave out the idea of making a 3 branch government. He did this because he wanted everyone to have equal freedom. James Madison joined John Jay, and Alexander Hamilton to write the Federalist
