Leadership Mission Statement As an educational leader, I believe in preparing life-long learners who see the value in hard work, courage, and commitment both in and out of the classroom. I will promote ongoing education for both students and employees, will help others work toward their individual goals, and will endorse teamwork across departments and curriculums. I will use my strengths to promote the mission of the school to the entire community and will serve as a role model to others.

Glanz (2002) goes on to state, “Creatives (e.g., William Shakespeare, John Lennon, and Maya Angelou) have a personal rhythm, awareness, and sensitivity that allow them to perceive the world differently and more imaginatively than Dynamics or Adaptives”.
Glanz (2002) believes that Assertives are often secure and confident and that Adaptive Assertives in particular are practical leaders who often make good supervisors and managers. Additionally, he describes them as “solid, dependable, hard workers, and highly responsible. Adaptive Assertives are highly organized people” and goes on to say “Adaptive Assertives prefer order and stability. They strive to achieve equilibrium”. I have always felt in tune with my senses and able to pick-up on undertones that others may not even be aware of. Because of this, I feel that I am more inclined to see school issues from a new perspective and therefore be a creative problem solver. My co-workers would agree with Glanz (2002) who says, that even though I attempt to “avoid management positions” at first pass, my “insights and leadership are invaluable and make school life interesting”. In my committee work, I often find that my colleagues actively encourage me to “speak freely” because when I do conversations tend to become a little more lively and exciting.
