Learning Journal: Achieving results with effective leadership tactics

This week I read an article titled: “How two exhausted moms built a business on smoothies: Jen Hansard and Jadah Sellner were looking for a boost, and came up with a hit green drink”. This week tied in with the bi-weekly journal very well, because it matched the topic of achieving results with effective leadership. It also ties in with this week’s discussion post which happens to be about Amazon, these ladies used Amazon as one of their avenues for becoming a success.
Moms, Jadah Sellner and Jen Hansard met as first-time mothers then became good friends and as time went on were both looking for an energetic pick-me-up due to their lack of energy. Both of them had business

These ladies used tactics from other articles that I read, for example Self-Confidence is very important to one’s success. “Self-confidence is the lifeblood of success. When people have it, they’re bold. They try new things, offer ideas, exude positive energy and cooperate with their colleagues instead of attempting to get ahead by bringing them down” (Berney, p. 2). I loved that they did not stop their role as mothers to stop them. They transformed their perspective and took the negative as opportunities as a journey to discover. I can learn a lot from being here and gradually it will help me to improve my work-ethic. My goals are to get assignments done for this course at specific times and to earn specific grades.
Adding Practice: It’s what you do everyday that determines the outcome of your goals.
One of the things that I do everyday is study good spiritual readings (Christian) that will improve my well-being. I believe that this helps me to stay focused on my path to greatness. I learn to not take things personally and to to instead look at my circumstances from a fresher perspective- like a learning experience.
Use moments to learn new skills and strategies
Some of the new skills that I learn and apply are empathetic-listening, as I stated in other discussions. I use moments at the American Red Cross to apply this skill as I am speaking with the visitors who are enduring hard times.
Self-soothe when fears get to you.
When my mind is unbalanced and my spirit feels troubled, I breathe in and out and meditate on a scripture that will calm me. I remind myself that I am not alone and that I have the highest power with me at all times helping me to get through the
