Gun-Control is one of the most debatable subjects in America today. It’s hard for one to be on one side or the other because there are many different issues, and many of them on both sides make sense. The best a person can do is highlight main issues and point out why Gun-Control is such an important topic. Valid points that people make world-wide have the national media in an uproar. On top of that, situations in America had the President of the United States breaking down on national television. However, protecting the 2nd Amendment is vital, but at the same time American lives must be protected. Majority of mass shootings happen in gun free zones, and the cost of what one person pays is indubitable highly sensitive. In some parts of Western-Europe mass shootings have taken place mainly where gun laws are so strict. (NationalReview.com) According to National Review.com, in the United States, the states with strict gun laws disclose that three or more people have been killed at the same time. (Nationalreview.com) Unfortunately, people pray on the weak, and there are many people in the world that are very unforgiving and unmerciful. This will forever be a debate because of mass shootings, the use of guns with mental health illnesses, and the increased death rates by use of a firearm. In many places in Europe gun laws are very strict and forbidden. This has mass shootings on the rise because people know that it would be more difficult for them to be interrupted when committing a crime. There are several websites and reports depicting dozens of shootings that have taken place. Furthermore, mental illness takes a toll on society. Some people feel that guns are too easy to attain, especially people with mental illness. For instance, the recent school shootings that made Obama upset on national television, or the shootings at a movie theatre that rocked the world has gun laws under tight review. Both locations had psychopaths with illnesses that altered lives forever. Last but not least, the toll of death by a gun is colossal, and many want this to reformed. There are over 30,000 people that die in the U.S yearly by firearms. The unbelievable stat that suicides are so common should be alarming, and the fact that so many Americans own weapons facilitate suicides.
