Medication Adherence usually refers to the intake of medications that was prescribed to the patient, well as whether they continue to take the medication prescribed. Medication Adherance is the key to a successful treatment. But due to some circumstances some patients are not able to adhere to these medicaton. Failure to adhere to the medication prescribed by the phsycian may cause serious problem not only to the patient but also to the health care system. It may also lead to substantial worsening of the disease, death and increase health care cost. The barriers to adhere to a certain medicaton could be the cause of patient, provider and health system factors.
