Andrea Yates was the mother of five children. Andrea was charged with capital murder for the drowning of all five of her children on June 20, 2001 in Houston, Texas. She pleaded not guilty do to insanity. Her children, Noah being the age of seven, John five, Paul three, Luke two, and Mary, who was only six months old. Andrea was originally sentenced to life in prison at the age of forty-two, however when a prosecution medical expert was brought in that trial was thrown out.
