Multitasking has been something most individuals do at some point in their lives; however, according to Christine Rosen, multitasking can lead to both academic and financial failure. Multitasking is affecting our ways of understating academics. It has started to affect our financial status by making us spend money in unnecessary ways. Multitasking has been known to be extremely dangerous and fatal. Our learning is our future and we jeopardize it each day by multitasking.
A child’s view of learning is simply sitting down and reading a lesson. However, when that child has an electronic in their hand they are more likely to get caught up in the use of technology rather than the use of their own knowledge. The children can quickly lose interest in the information they are interpreting. “…learning is less flexible and more specialized, so you cannot retrieve the information as easily.” (Rosen 376).
