I was interested in this experiment because I have two dogs and we are always listening to music. The results of my experiment would be of interest to dog trainers or dog breeders because we don't know how they react to music normally. Because we may be making the dogs in pain since they have better hearing than us. Procedures: To do my experiment, I played music to see how my animals reacted. Then I tested their beats every minute. I recorded my data by putting my hand on my dog's chest for 15 seconds. I chose to display it using an informative bar graph. Data Results: The data showed that my experimental group had an average of 76 beats per minute. My second group had an average of 48 beats per minute. My third group had an average of 42 beats per minute. I tested the volume that the speaker was at. Low, medium, and high …show more content…
My hypothesis was proven correct because when the music got louder, the dog calmed down. Based on my results, I think that the max volume is when they will be most calm. One thing I might change to make the experimental results more accurate if I did the experiment again is the fact that the music is the speaker.

Purpose and Hypothesis

“The purpose of my experiment is to find out whether dogs relaxed to classical music at different volumes because I wonder if music calms them down.. Also it is known that music calms people down so I wonder if it is the same with dogs. My hypothesis is the louder the music is, the more it will calm down. I think this is because the more you hear the song the more you enjoy it and calm
