Financially, the University of Oklahoma has done much to aid me already as I am a recipient of the National Merit scholarship. However, I did not obtain this scholarship on a whim. It is a necessity for me to have to acquire my education, as I do not come from a family with the financial ability to send me to college. With the rising costs of tuition, college, and life all around the aid that they and the University can provide me, while both are greatly appreciated, becomes a smaller and smaller portion of what is actually due.
Monetary concerns have, on occasion, quite literally kept me awake late into the night. Like any stress, it makes it harder to focus on my work and harder to simply enjoy the college experience. Any scholarship has
