Have you ever had the feeling of fighting for your life? The book night was about a boy named Elie who got taken into the Holocaust with his family and got separated. He fought and worked hard for his and his father's life. In the movie Defiance the 2 Bielski brothers escaped from getting killed by the Germans and went into hiding, working with each other to fight for their freedom and helping others from different villages. There are similarities and differences between the book night and the movie Defiance. The 2 Bielski brothers and Elie Wiesel were involved in the Holocaust and are fighting for their lives. Some of the similarities between the book and the movie is that they both have people who were fighting for themselves. Elie was …show more content…
The Bielski brothers fought and risked their lives by trying to keep others safe. When they we moving spots in the forest you had the ones that were weak or one that couldn’t attack be walking and most of the men surrounding them shooting whoever comes to keep the others safe. In the movie Tuvia attacks Bernicki in his house because he shot his parents and were coming for the brothers. He held him at gun point not risking anymore of his life of Bernicki shooting him and his brothers. Elie Wiesel's courage to survive was all within him. He doesn't show it in this setting gin helping others but just to keep himself alive. He does although risk his little portions of food to keep is dad alive who is already dying. Between the movie Defiance and the book Night, there were both similarities and differences between the two. Even though the biggest difference is where they each take place and the setting, they are both involved in the Holocaust.
