Information Management

Introduction
In my year 11 DT class this year I have completed 5 assessments. Doing these assessment have advanced my Digital Technology skills such as creating folder structures and use of different applications.
Assessments Completed
During the year I did 5 Assessment: AS 1.43, which involved creating a website of our choice using brackets. AS 1.41, I created a database and a letter and flyer using Filemaker Pro and Microsoft Word. AS 1.50, AS 1.45 and AS 1.46.
Types of Software
System Software
System Software is a computer program that runs the computer hardware and application programs. The two main types of system software are Operating Systems and Utility Software. A CLI provides a line by line screen which allow commands through the form of written text. We did not use this during DT1. However we did use a GUI which allows the user to interact through graphical icons and images. Example of this include Microsoft 10, Apple IOS and OS X, Android and Linux.
Multitasking: Allows the user to have more than one application open at one time and allows the operating system to do multiple tasks at once.

Application 1: Adobe Photoshop
Purpose of the Application
Adobe Photoshop is a digital editor for images and graphics. This can allow the user to modify and edit existing photos.
