Station 1A: Reflection (Mirrors)

1.This station shows reflection because it shows how the laser reflects off the mirrors.

2.This station does not have energy that is being absorbed. The energy in this station is not being absorbed it is being reflected off the mirror.

3.The shapes that were in this station were triangles because the laser reflected off the mirrors in a triangle shape

4.Two other examples of reflection is when you can see yourself in a bubble and also when light reflects of of snow or glitter

Station 1B: Bubbles

1.We can see different colors in the bubble because the bubble is catching light waves that are in the visible light category which also contains colors.

2.In the bubble I can see everything around me just like a mirror.

3.When you get x-rays made of your body, some other body parts that are not being x-rayed are covered with a lead apron. I think this procedure is important because it protects the rest of your body from unnecessary radiation.

4.During an x-ray I think the x-ray waves are reflecting off of the different materials in your body.

Lab station 16: Optical Fibers

1.Shining on your hand the brightest when it is near the ends of the fibers.

2.Look like passing through optical fibers are often used instead of metal wires and electricity for computers and communication purposes. I think this is so because light is renewable and it will never run out.

3.At the station the light is reflecting. I think this is so because it is reflecting off of the plastic of the optical fibers.
