The objective of COSHH is to prevent, or to adequately control, exposure to substances hazardous to health, so as to prevent ill health. With COSHH being a required regulation for all elements that could cause damage to the body or environment at
CPL is a regulation that will apply to storage as knowledge of what the substances are and how to use/handle them, minimizing risks and hazards while operating within the area. This can help when dealing with items such as plasterboard or asbestos. Asbestos is not used anymore this can be found in old buildings and knowing the material and its hazards is key.

Figure two shows the GHS categorization of asbestos and how it should be handled, stored and the response to exposure along with the disposal of said material. This covers all of the possible outcomes that are needed when it comes to asbestos in the work place.
Keeping a dedicated and maintained storage facility within the construction site, where materials being stored properly, will allow for an efficient workplace with people knowing where materials are and walkways being clear of mislaid materials. This will also help with emergency services and they will be able to complete their job without having to take any risks while hazards are present.
