1. Identify and explain at least one Differentiated Instruction support that can be used for diverse student populations (ELL, Gifted, IEP, Hearing impaired, etc.)
a. Visual impaired – The teacher uses a loud instructional voice at a good pace. Also, the use of textbook allows students to read at a one-to-one ratio. The use of a PowerPoint and written instructions on the whiteboards allows for multiple levels of reinforcement
b. Hearing impaired – The teacher uses a loud instructional voice at a good pace. PowerPoint and written instructions on the whiteboards and handouts reinforces learning. Also, the use of many visual components allows for student to gain mastery over the content
c. IEP – the level of difficult of the “3-2-1” Note Taking activity can be adjusted to the level of the learner. Reading can be done in pairs with stronger readers assisting the weaker readers.

a. Visual-spatial – the use of various videos, pictures, the textbook, and the PowerPoint aim reach the visual learners.
b. Verbal-linguistic – the use of projecting the voice during instruction and sound from the videos aim to reach the verbal learners.
c. Interpersonal – the use of a share component in the “3-2-1” Note Taking activity allows for students to discuss a topic and see the same material from a different perspective.
d. Intrapersonal – the use of a “3-2-1” Note Taking activity allows for students to analyze and interpret information alone.
