The term of information system and information technology are often used interchangeably that showed information technology is a subset of information systems. Not only that, the information systems involved people, processes, machines and development of information technology like telecommunication which has surged the advancement in information systems. One of the organizations which have the advancement of information system and information technology is Groupon. It has proved that the advancement of information system and information technology help in upholding their business competitiveness and effectiveness.

In the mobile platform, Groupon introduced a mobile application for their organization as it will be a manifesto for users to purchase their goods or needs easily.
