Outstanding Educator Qualities

The essay that I chose to write about is "The Most Important Qualities of an Outstanding Educator." When I look back at my educational career and think about the experiences that I have had in school, and the interactions I have had with teachers, I am always brought back to a moment that I had with a specific teacher. The teacher was not a teacher that made certain I had all of my work done, or just participated in class, but this teacher had qualities that inspired me to be a teacher today. This teacher cared about me as a person, checked to see if I was understanding material, taught with enthusiasm and made the learning enjoyable. There are many qualities that an outstanding educator can encompass. First, an outstanding educator must care about each of his/her students. The teacher must see beyond the outer appearance of a student, and seek to see what is inside. He/she must be able to look at a student and be able to find the gold that is hidden deep within. The teacher's job is to pull that gold out and to expose it to the student that may not have known it was within them. The teacher is to encourage this student to keep trying, even if they are struggling. An outstanding teacher must look beyond the child's disability, struggle, or adversity. He/she must see the gold within the student, and be able to pull that out of them. An outstanding teacher also has the ability to take time out of their busy schedule to help the student. He/she will differentiate the information for the student, so they are improving their learning, not falling behind. Finally, an outstanding teacher will be able to incorporate fun, engaging, and exciting lessons so the students are excited to come to school to learn. All of these things what make a teacher
