This contract that I signed opened my eyes to the pressing need that I need to read a contract fully and to ask questions about clause that I do not understand. However, as I got older I would have more exposer to contracts. **After I graduated high school, I was on my own, which meant that I would have to get a full-time job. I followed my passion for the hospitality industry and got a job in the food service industry. I applied to many restaurants, hotels, and nightclubs, and got many offers, but I choose to accept a job at the Ritz Carlton. Before I was introduced to my manager, the head of human resources put a contract in front of me. The contract was five pages long. The contract had such clauses outlined like, the roles for the employee, accountabilities for employees, and confidential agreement along with a …show more content…
In their letter they stated that I put aesthetically pleasing plants in the front and sides of the condo each year, the outside of the condo needed to be painted with a neutral color, and I needed to hire a landscaper to maintain the lawn. Shocked, I called my landlord up and explained the letter I received. He stated that he had not received any letter from the association and he explained to me that he would look into it. In the mean time I called my lawyer and explained to him the situation. As time pasted, my landlord called me and explained to me that there was a clause in his contract that stated that who ever is an occupant in the condo is responsible for the upkeep of the property.
