BANG! The front door had slammed shut from my mother leaving for work. It was 6:49 A.m when I slowly slid down the stairs to get some fresh strawberries and a small bowl of Cap’n Crunch. Joyfully eating my sweet, ripe strawberries a blinding shine struck my dark green eyes, like sun bouncing off metal. The strange light went side to side, moving until it reached the backyard door. I was curious, so I slowly approached the shiny dot. All I could see in my backyard was a small golf ball in the short grass. As I got closer to the glass sliding door it became easier to see the details on the ball. My long, red hair whipped in my face, causing me to have terrible vision of where I was going. I was amazed yet scared by the mysterious ball. The bathroom was the nearest room with a lock, so I quickly ran towards the door and grabbed the handle. I immediately locked the door and dialed my friend Katherine’s number.
“Hey Paige,” Katherine began.
“Katherine! Katherine! Something weird has landed in my backyard! It-”
“Wait, what do you mean?” Katherine questioned.
“There was a peculiar golf ball that grew ten times the size of me while I was eating breakfast! When it was small there was a green dot on it and when the ball grew the dot looked more like an odd looking alien, I was terrified. It would be much easier if you just came over here, since you live only a couple houses away.” There was weird ruffling in the kitchen but I ignored it.
“I’m coming as quick as I can,” she informed.
The front door opened, “Where’s the golf ball?” Asked Katherine. I came out of the bathroom and showed her where it was.
“That looks like a spaceship,” Katherine stated while looking carefully at it.
