Personal Narrative: After High School

“ Dang, all my money is gone.” is all I can think about as I sit in after school detention. You are probably wondering how I ended up in such a predicament, being broke and in trouble, but this is the story of how my perfect week turned bad, then perfect, then right back bad. It all started at cheer practice Monday afternoon. At practice that day Coach Wanda announced that the 9th-grade cheer team would get to perform with the Senior cheer team Friday night during the football game halftime. Asia, my best friend, was so excited when she heard the news it look like she would smile forever. I tried to play it cool, but deep down inside I was super happy. You see ever since I started high school 3 months ago my grades have been slipping, and by slipping I mean falling. My parents believe the reason why is because all I think about is cheer, which is true. I try to get my parents to understand that you can’t manage a social life, cheer team,sleep, and school. One had to go, so I decided to give up school. Rebecca, the cheer team captain, told everyone that grades don't really matter until your junior year. Hopefully, she was right, because I stop trying. At dinner that night I did everything I could so my parents would let me attend the game. I help cook, set the table, and volunteered to clean up. I knew that there was no way my parents could say
