Personal Narrative: Little Over Weight

As a child, I was a little over weight. It was a difficult at the time because even though I ate healthy and was an active child, I was still overweight. I would have never thought that my ballet teacher would insult me for my weight and would tell me that no matter how hard I tried I wasn’t going to be able to dance in pointe shoes. At the time, I felt discouraged and I worried about how I looked physically. While I was in ballet, I also took a jazz class in the same dance studio with a different teacher, who encouraged me to keep dancing and to ignore what people said about me. I took her advice and started to practice my dance more at home. When I couldn’t do a routine I would ask my jazz teacher for help so I could still me motivated to
