My experiences of home, work and school were all challenging. From graduating high school with an IEP, I felt nervous and at a disadvantage heading in to a higher education institute. However at the same time, I liked the challenge to be the only immediate family member to graduate from college. After the first semester, I quickly saw a pattern to success and was able to employ a strategic plan each semester. Improving my time management, work ethic and productivity through planning, scheduling and organization while also taking advantage of the resources available to me. From there on each semester my assumptions were that no course should be taking lightly. Each assignment to be given the same amount of effort and when given the syllabus planning each assignment our and day in which to dedicate time to work and school was the key to success. The skills from work have also contribute to me becoming an effective independent and group learner. By having a leadership position, time management, dedication, delegation, prioritizing all come together in creating an efficient and productivity business. However, after viewing the orientation I view FlexPath as a challenge and a way that will not only challenge me but give me the resources and ability to improve on all areas. From writing, to research to time management. FlexPath offers much more than simply allowing students to ability to submit work without due dates, Capella give them a strong foundation to be a better person, student and worker no matter the area of study. In order to succeed in FlexPath I am going to take full advantage of the writing center and resources. Since Capella is giving me the ability to succeed at everything through feedback and reviews I must give back with better quality
