Pit bulls have rights too! They should be allowed to be pets for many reasons. One reason is pit bulls have saved people’s lives. Another is they are very good working dogs. Also, people often get pit bulls mixed up with a different breed.

Pit bulls have saved people’s lives! This is because along time ago there were pit bulls in the army; in the early 1900’s. There was a pit bull who saved his entire platoon. He was also the first dog ever to be awarded army metals. In the text the author states,” He once saved his entire platoon by warning them of a poison gas attack.”

Pit bulls are amazing working dogs. They were good hunters and guardians. They also were herders and pets. Also they helped in the wars. The author states that, “As working dogs, they were kept as hunters and guardian as well as herders and pets.” …show more content…
People mistake pit bulls so much that if the breed is unknown they will call it a pit bull. With this people expect to hear about pit bull attacks. As the author states in the text, “If a dog’s breed is unknown, news media will call it a pit bull.”
