Introduction to placement
You should use the following sheets to record information gathered about your placement. These sheets should be signed and dated by your supervisor as indicated and are part of the assessment. You will use these notes to complete a piece of work under supervised conditions in class time. These notes should be submitted with your piece of work but will be returned to you for inclusion in your folio of evidence.
You have more than one placement and will carry out this assessment task for both placements.

One member of staff for 10 children
Responsible for health and well-being of whole nursery children, parents and staff. Responsible for learning and teaching in a nursery. Have to meet needs of all children.
SENIOR EARLY YEARS OFFICER
Lead role in a room,lead staff in new initiatives. Overall management of the room. Making sure that all children needs are met. Working with close partnership with parents and outside agency (Speech therapist, health visitors, occupational therapist)
EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER
Responsible to provide caring, stimulating and holistic approach to anty and preschool age children education.
EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER
Her role is to encourage and extend each child interest, support them learning and well-being. Participate as a staff team member to record and contribute children progress, also to communicate and support parents, and follow the aim of the counsels policy.
EARLY YAERS PRACTITIONER
Taking responsibility for children, ensuring they are comfortable and secure in their surrounding and are afforded every opportunity to develop skills appropriate to their age and ability. Contribute to the building of developmental profiles of children through the use of observation and recording results. Encourage children development in all curricular areas including outdoor learning.
PUPIL SUPPORT ASSISTANT
Role to support staff in a room, and also support children with additional needs in very small groups. Got her work set up by individual educational plan. She is part time worker.
