The following case studies illustrate the utility of radiologic comparison for establishing positive identification:
Jablonski and Shum (1989) share the January 1988 case of a burned car was found with an extensively charred body in the driver’s seat. The car had been rented by the suspected victim on December 28, 1987 and he was reported missing the next day.
