Props In Horror Movies

The eerie, spooky lights, and the creepy sound effects all lead to a great horror movie. In a horror book none of these Props, Character attributes, or Special Effects are included. When a movie is made off of a famous horror story, it usually effects the viewer’s emotions and feelings by giving them an eerie feeling, or giving them a jump scare by having a creepy sound, or a character jump out of nowhere.
Props are an important part in a good horror movie. Without them, the movie would just be characters talking. With them, you can SEE what the character is talking about, and think what they are thinking. For example, in the non-fiction text “What Makes a Setting Sinister,” they use a skull from the crypt, and a trowel as prop examples from “The Cask of Amontillado.” If someone was making a creepy horror movie, they would probably have weapons that looked scary, old, and dangerous to add to the suspense, and anticipation of the movie. They would probably also have Old and Dilapidated buildings to scare the viewer and make them wonder what’s going to happen. Also, in most horror movies, there are random old, scary pieces

Characters are the main part of the story, and without them, there would be no plot, or anything going on. Characters are the actors, or subjects of a movie or book. In the non-fiction text, they use the example that, if the actor is placed in the foreground, and they are always quiet and shy; then that that would represent the character being placed there deliberately to add to the plot of the script. In “The Cask of Amontillado,” there are basically 2 main characters, Montresor, and Fortunato. Montresor is the secret up to no good actor, and Fortunato is the arrogant, cocky, unsuspecting character. When the author wrote the script, they purposely made the characters costumes, voice, and appearance represent the scripted actor in the movie so that the readers would visualize
