My current progress highlighted on page 2, of this assignment range from average to above average at this time during the semester. In reference to my participation, although, I have had to work around some complications; as a result, I have compensated in other areas to ensure I continue to make average progress in retaining and applying the concepts in our book. In the area of taking notes I am currently average due to a personal disposition, however, I am re-reading the chapters and completing the self study of each chapter multiple times in order to ensure all of the facts presented in our readings are sustained. I ensure when there is an assignment that I thoroughly read and understand the instructions prior to completing/submitting the assignment. I always attempt to verify facts and use appropriate language in response to my fellow classmates and discussion boards. I am sensitive when writing posts and responding to others post so, that my counterparts are not offended by anything I may discuss. An area that needs improvement is definitely watching more of the videos and reading the materials provided in regards to the topics; therefore, I have downgraded this category from above average to average. The reason I feel my participation in this area is lacking is because I have been rushing through a few chapters to make certain I do not fall behind. However, with regard to this area, it can easily be improved throughout the remainder of the coursework, as it is still accessible. The benefit of watching the materials for a third or fourth time is that over time I will absorb more information and perform better on exams and quizzes. I continue to read the discussion boards when available and monitor my email for extra credit
