In the play A Raisin In the sun, the character mama makes the choice to give the money to Walter younger. As a result Walter causes for him to lose the money he was given by Mama and shows himself to be to trustworthy in people he meets. Mamma makes the choice of giving the money to Walter. She had made the decision of handing him $6,00 dollars that was left from the down payment on the house. Mamma makes this choice because she has the most trust and him and believes that he should be the man in the house. “I'm telling you to be the head of this family from now on like you supposed to be”(80). Later in the play the Walter plans on giving the money he had got from mama not to long ago to give Willy(one of Walter's friends he plans to start a liquor store with) the money and then meet Willy there With Bobo Another one of the friends. And once Walter finds out from his friend of what had happened it causes a whole shift in the plot. “I'm talking about the fact that when I got to the train station yesterday morning- eight o’clock like we planned… Man —Willy didn't never show up” (100). After Walter found out this he had found out about Willy that he had run off with the money and the money was gone he soon came to realization that mama would lose all trust in him and had really messed up. And by Mama giving all the money left to Walter, She shows the traits of being hopeful for Walter and Being trustful of him and thinking that he would do the right thing.In the play A Raisin In The Sun Mamas decision to hand the money to Walter Younger resulting in Willy receiving the money to hold for the liquor business causes a shift in the play when Willy never shows up at the train station and runs off with the money and shows that walter was a very disloyal person to
