Some people may think that speed limits are outrageous, but in reality speed limits are what keeps people able to transport in any fashion safely. Without speed limits public transportation would be chaotic. Can you imagine thousands or even millions of cars on our highways and local streets and everyone drives without speed limits? That would spell disaster on our roads because millions of lives, goods and services would be in jeopardy. Transportation wouldn’t be as dependable as it should be. If people went at any speed that they wanted to there would be a lot of injured people or in the worst case scenario a lot of people would be dead. If there were no speed limits highways would be roads and roads of destruction and devastation; things wouldn’t go so well. …show more content…
If you use the wrong speed in an aircraft you have a lot of people’s lives at stake on and off board. Some things that could go wrong with over speeding in an airplane include loss of lives and property. It is proper to have speed limits for any human operated transportation because it saves lives. I agree totally with speed limits because it is what keeps people safe from transportation disasters. If speed limit never existed I think it’s safe to say that transportation would be pointless because you are not guaranteed a safe trip to where you are going. So for the people who don’t necessarily agree with speed limits take the time to rethink what you think about speed limits because it is what keeps you safe in everyday transportation. And also do your complete best to follow the speed limits given because it is very important for your safety as well as others. There seems to be a limit to everything, and if certain things didn’t have a limit, well, that particular thing just wouldn’t work very
