Reasons To Abolish The Electoral College

Abolishing the Electoral College would be good for our country in many ways however I will be speaking about three main reasons. First, the Electoral College opens the door to a minority vote president being elected, second, the Electoral College does not correctly represent the national popular will, and finally the Elector College can be used a crutch for citizens to avoid voting.
The Electoral College has lead to a minority president being elected. This means that the candidate with fewer popular votes in the presidential election won the presidency, the problem with this is obvious being that the person the people actually elected is not the winner.
