The Crucible Religion is a big factor in everyday live for many, especially for the Puritan people. The Crucible, a story about the Salem witch trials, is a story about fear,lies, and religion. In Salem, at the time of the witch trials, people accused others because of their beliefs and ways of living, still to this day people are being accused for the sames reasons. Today people in America are being shamed for being muslim and “fat”. In America there are people hating others based on the religious beliefs. In America there is this stigmation that all girls have to be skinny to be beautiful. Girls are being treated badly for the way that they look, and it's getting much worse with social media. Kelsey Hibberd says "No-one seemed to notice at primary school, but then in Year 7 everyone started pointing at me, noticing things, making me think I was ugly and not special.". That's what people are doing today, making people who are “fat” feel like they're not worthy.
