In order to be able to win a war, a group of personnel must be completely devoted to the mission and fully comprehend what their objective is. Not only do the personnel carry a big role in winning battles, but they must be led by an established leader in order to lead them into war. Although many 20th century historians would argue that America did not have a plan during the Revolutionary War, George Washington was a dependable commander that lead America to the victory of the Revolutionary War. In the late 1700s, tensions had been growing between America and Britain. Britain kept pushing for taxing the colonist in order to make more capital for themselves. The way effected many farmers production and created shortages on their crops causing them to reciprocate and join the war on the fight against the British. Many farmers would use main streams to carry bulk produce to distant markets to bring profit so that they may provide for their families. Now that the war has started their streams were cut off leaving them to only do business in the local area causing a degrading profit margin. Not only did the British cut off the farmers means of transportation; but, they also destroyed livestock, buildings and ran over crops. And if that was not enough, the troops also spread many airborne diseases resulting in a drop in the civilian population. Spanish and French kings help fund the Americans during the war providing them with money to acquire war material and also recruit foreign military officers with more war experience and strategies than they had. Spain had also contributed by establishing their own army to fight the British. Doing so, it helped take over forts controlled by the British that Spanish had lost in in 1763. After they have succeeded with that, Spain had partnered with other British enemy forces taking over the waters and out numbering the British naval ships.
