Richard Nixon, former president for the United States of America. Richard Nixon was involved in the major political and infamous Watergate scandal. The Watergate scandal occurred in the United States in the 1970’s to 1974. The Watergate scandal is a very controversial issue, and it still is. On June 17, 1972, McCord and four other men working for the CREEP broke into the Democratic Party’s headquarter and got caught while trying to weed listening devices, however Richard Nixon declined and denied any knowledge.
