Settlement in Charles Town
Have you ever moved to a new place and had to start all over? The Southeastern Native Americans lived in the area of South Carolina before the arrival of the English. The English choose to settle in South Carolina, for religious freedom, and because the ground was very fertile so they could grow rice and indigo plantations. There was conflicts with the natives and the settlers in South Carolina. There were variable and non-variable conflicts between the natives and the settlers.The biggest threat to the settlement of CharlesTown would be the ownership of the land between the settlers and the natives.
CharlesTown was difficult to settle because of its geography. The native americans would be an obstacles for a cartographer to make a map. Sometimes the map was not trustworthy because there were more and more people

Things like land would be very good for the settlers because they wanted to start plantations. Flat land would be an advantage to the Carolina settlers because it is easier to see your plantation and who is on it. Also the land that has been cleared by the indians would be highly desirable for the first settlers in Carolina, because it’s for homes and better for planting when cleared. Pasturage would be used for making the soil fertile and ready for planting. It was hard to settle in Charles Town because of the different kinds of land.
It was hard to settle in Charles Town because of the disease and wild life. In the Carolinas there are animals like panthers, tygers, wolves, and other beast along with deer. It was difficult to settle in Charles Town because the wildlife was dangerous, and the animals eat their food.
