Standarized Test

Great education leads to great lives; education is the most important reason to developed the countries. Improving the education system in countries is not easy and very challenging. Therefore, some countries use a standardized test to evaluate students and teachers in order to value a school’s achievement. Standardized testing can be several forms of evaluation such as multiple choice, true or false, or open end questions. If students pass the test they will receive their degree. It also uses to value what is taught on the national standard in order to measure goals and how students and schools are reaching educational country system. Although many people argue that standardized test improves the education, standardized test is unreliable tests to measure student's and school's performance for two reasons: it measures specific skills and it causes a lot of stress.

It is usually focused on reading, math, writing, and English skills. That means students are testing in specific skills and ignore other skills, that skills outside the test will become secondary when students feel it is not important. Furthermore, schools narrow the curriculums to make sure students pass the standardized tests, which mean more importance is put on English and maths, for example, rather than on other subjects which deserve more consideration. For instance, students lose creativity like critical thinking or obtain a good information like history because they focus on test preparation too much. For these reasons, standardized test is inaccurate measures to evaluate students
