Suicide and homicide rates have been through the roofs lately due to guns. From 1999 through 2013, there was a total of 464,033 total gun deaths. An easy way we could reduce the number of deaths due to guns would be increasing the requirements to own a gun. If we increase the needs to own a gun it would result in fewer homicides, fewer suicides, and more safety. First off, If we want to stop the criminals from shooting innocent people, we need to be more strict with weapons. According to the CDC, In 14 years there were 174,773 homicide deaths (4).
