If I could be anyone for a day, I would choose Susan B. Anthony because of her role in obtaining basic rights for women, such as suffrage, better pay and coeducation. She remained dedicated to gaining equality for 54 years until her death in 1906. Susan’s point of view was that women and men are intellectually alike and should not be viewed differently. She saw this issue in society and took the initiative to change it. She is an inspiration to me, and an example of how to stand up for just causes. Society treated her harshly for her beliefs and simply stating her opinions, however Susan did not let this silence her.
