You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop and look fear in the face.” This quote is connected with Edwards Bloor’s novel Tangerine in many ways, but one of the main ones is that how Paul stops being scared and stands up for himself and how he is brave. So in Edward Bloor’s novel, Tangerine, the choices made by Paul and the consequences of these choice had a significant impact on Paul.

This choice made by Paul gave Paul and whole new look at soccer at Tangerine. In the story it says “I never minded being on the sideline until that moment.” which is one page 190. When Paul thought this it made Paul want to be in the game and play against his old team mates.

Another choice that was made by Paul was when he helped the kids when the sinkhole happened. In the storey on page 81 and page 82 it says “i didn't even think about it, i yelled “Come on!”” “I must have pulled out at least twenty kids before Mr.Ward's voice yelled “That's it! That's everyone! Let's get out of here!”” This shows that paul his put his fear behind him and helped a bunch out.

On page 259 in the book Tangerine it says “All i remember next is mom shouting “Paul!” as i took off flying through the air.” and also page 294 “As of today you are expelled from all Tangerine county public schools…” When paul made this dissolution is was a big and major impact on him because he had to start at the private school.

So in this story Edward bloor is saying if you have no courage than you won't be able to face your feeling and help people out, This connects with the real world because if you don't face thing that give you fear than you will never get anything done and never help anybody else because your stuck behind this wall of fear so you need to use courage and break down the fear wall and face what scares
