The Count Of Monte Cristo

The Count of Monte Cristo, written by Alexandre Dumas in 1844, is a popular classic that is read to this day. Dumas, nearly two hundred years ago, likely intended his book to be read by his fellow citizens in France who had just lived through the post-Napoleonic era, which is the main time period of the book. However, this audience is no longer living and new people must now come and be swept up in the genius of Dumas.
Having recently read this book, I would recommend it to many types of people. Anyone above the age of fifteen that enjoys one of the following would be doing a disservice to themselves to not read this book. Those who want a story that can relate to their own emotions should not hesitate to pick up this story about the Count.
