Knowledge is Power
In this essay, I will express my theme “Knowledge is power, and people must fight against a society that embraces and celebrates ignorance” through various types of media. David de Vries is the author of the television show Life after People. It was published in the year of 2012 in the United States, and it belongs in the fiction genre. The author, David de Vries is from a city called Wellington in New Zealand. When this show first came about, a lot of talk about global warming was being brought up. Global warming is the gradual increase in the earth’s temperature of the earth’s atmosphere due to a greenhouse effect. “When it comes to connecting the dots between climate change, extreme weather and health, the lines are clear. The earth is saying something with record heat, drought, storms and fire. Scientists are telling us this is what global warming looks like” (Top documentary “Life after people”). David de Vries is an Australian film writer, director and producer. In 2009 he wrote and directed a feature film.Carmilla Hyde which won the best feature award. He has also written a number of live action and animation scripts for TV films.
