This essay I am going to write is about the importance of accountability in the army, and as to how it affect the units mission. First off by definition "Accountability is important in the military because soldiers are often times required to perform extremely challenging duties and services. Without accountability, a soldier cannot be expected to meet these high demands and expectations". Being accountable means being in the right place at the right time, being in the proper duty uniform, being dependable and always arriving to work on time, appointments on time and most importantly doing the right thing at the right time and all the time. The Army has a very important mission, and without accountability we can not expect to accomplish this mission. From the little E-2 all the way up to the CSMs and Colonels we all must do our party every single day. Accountability in the our workplace impacts the productivity of everyone within it. Every soldier is a domino in the box of dominos and when we are all stacked in the order that we are supposed to, straight and firm then all works out but once some one get complacent then they fall along with all others around them. Then its just a chain reaction from there until all the dominos have fallen and your left with nothing but a big pile of unmatched and unorganized domino.
