I strongly believe that turning humans against one another using the fragile human nature, consisting of wretched thoughts and accusations against close ones, is the most perilous weapon.
To begin with, the many unfortunate flaws of the human nature can transform a quiet neighborhood of friendly neighbors into a violent environment of insane people, likewise in the teleplay “The Monsters are Due on Maple Street”. According to the teleplay, in lines 263 to 264, “People shout, accuse and scream as the lights go on and off”. Clearly on the verge of insanity, these neighbors blamed each other with no explained evidence despite the fact that they have known each other for years.
