At the beginning of the story something passes through the sky, everyone looks up and stare at it. as quoted in the passage says “Steve- What was that ? A meteor?” The facts indicate that Till this day everything was normal on maple street ,until the so what meteor passed through and changed everything and everyone. Later on in the story strange things start to happen.
