With reference to the assigned document 3:8, the quotation refers specifically to the origins of the Original sin. The Book of Genesis states that Original sin derives from Adam and Eve because they ate from the tree of knowledge in which God commanded them not to. Consequently, they disobeyed God’s orders and were banished from the Garden of Eden and humans were placed on Earth in which they would be tested. Thus, the ‘good’ people will go to the everlasting life if they are able to overcome the original sin, and the ‘bad’ people will be sent to a terrible place. God delivered commandments to Adam and Eve to rectify the sin that they had committed, by which they had to make sacrifices to God.
