Elie Wiesel said in The Perils Of Indifference Speech “In a way, to be indifferent to that suffering is what makes the human being inhuman.” Meaning if you have no voice or opinion you are suffering more. Eva Galler is a Holocaust survivor, her story connects to Elie Wiesel's speech. Her family friends that were Arayan told Eva’s family that there was room in their home if they wanted to hide from the Nazis. Eva thought it was a good idea but she kept it to herself and let her father decide. Her father responded to the family friends and told them they will be fine. Two years Later Eva’s family died, she was the only survivor. We learn about the hardships of these victims from literature books and articles. Literature is written works. You can learn about every topic. The Holocaust is tragedy from the past. Literature helps us remember and honor victims of the Holocaust from books,articles and stories of people. Worst of all he was having teachers teach their students lies about other religions and the whole german army was ordered to take the jews to concentration camps where they will either be killed or tortured. Between 1933 and 1945 there were about 40,000 concentration camps. Concentration camps were used for forced labor, torture of people who thought to be enemies and mass murder.
WHile living in the concentration camp you were given little to no food and water, very poor conditions. At night you’d be lucky if you got straw to sleep on. Winters were harsh no blankets just there prisoner suits got a tiny bit thicker. If you were weak or out of place the Nazi’s would kill you. It was awful. The Holocaust was one of the most tragic events of history. We learn about it from booka and stories of real victims. When we talk about the Holocaust we hope nothing will ever come close to being this cruel and
