Theodore (Teddy) Roosevelt was the 26th president of the United States. This happened in the year 1901 after the assassination of President McKinley. However, even before becoming the president, Roosevelt was a very active individual in life. Roosevelt had a long and full life, being able to do many things and travel to many places despite being a sick child. He had a drive that let people know he was a force to be reckoned with, and he used that drive to accomplish so many things in his life, that left a mark on the next few generations. He was a politician, so he faced opposition every day when it came to going to work. He was also a soldier who faced an enemy on the battlefield. Due to all he was able to accomplish and overcome in his life, he was an inspiration in his day to all the men in America if not in the world, someone you could look up to and want to immolate. In today’s gender equal society he is an inspiration not for what it is to be a real man but what one person can accomplish if they put their minds to it and work hard to see that work completed. I plan to show how a young child who was sick all the time grew up to become one of the most influential people in American history and how he brought programs to the American people to help better their lives and the lives of the planet around them.
