I firmly believe that it is crucial for the greater public to gain a true understanding of the nature and benefit of vaccinations. Seriously misleading information from a range of mediums has created a vortex of confusion and alarm. Decades of public health gains could easily be reversed due to persisting resistance to vaccinations which has led to the growing return of infectious diseases.
Vaccinations have been cited as one of medicine's biggest triumphs and public health’s best intervention tool. Vaccinations helped to eradicate certain diseases decades ago, and with the extinction of these diseases, it can be difficult to imagine, let alone remember the crippling effects it had on its victims, due to the amount of time that has passed.
