More than 3 million people die a year from vaccine preventable diseases, meaning if vaccines were mandatory many people would still be alive. Vaccines are the answer to many diseases that we do not have cures for. If we get the vaccination before we get sick, there is a very good chance that we would be immune to that disease. Vaccines are very healthy and they help all ages, another great things about Vaccines is that they are given to infants so the fear of needles wouldn't be a problem. Vaccines also keep the side effects of the disease less severe, and they reduce the spread of disease. Overall, vaccines can help any age group, they are healthy, easy and safe, and they should be required to be in school and in any public place of work. …show more content…
Vaccinations are the early cure for many illnesses. National Foundation for Infectious Diseases also says, “ When people skip vaccines, they leave themselves vulnerable to illnesses such as shingles, pneumococcal disease, influenza, and HPV and hepatitis B, both leading causes of cancer.” Every vaccination that people decide not to get, they are putting themselves in higher risk of getting the illness. “The viruses and bacteria that cause illness and death still exist and can be passed on to those who are not protected by vaccines”(CDC). Infants and elderly people are at the greatest risk for any type of illness because their immune system is not as strong. A Pediatric death is identified as a child under the age of 18, the CDC (Center for Disease Control) reports previously that 90% of pediatric deaths were associated with children that did not have the flu vaccine. The U.S. has been identified as having the best post-licensure surveillance system in the world. A large amount of money and research is put into generating vaccinations, making them one of the safest methods of medicine today. …show more content…
They always have to do many testings on the vaccine to see its side effects or to see how it works. They test the vaccination in laboratories and they use animal studies and human clinical trials. If or when the FDA decides if the vaccine, and its ingredients are healthy and safe for all ages, they always keep checking up on the vaccine to see how people are responding to it and to see if they can make improvements with the vaccine. The FDA watches to see how it is working and if people are having troubles with it, they just keep a close eye on it(CDC). Chemicals are added to vaccinations to put a stop to the virus or bacteria and to stabilize the vaccine, helping to keep the vaccine and stop it from losing its potency over time.The amount of chemicals found in vaccines is very small portion, but they do need enough to kill the bacteria or virus(CDC).
