Noise has always been a way for people to daydream when trying to escape reality. For Walter Mitty, he has always been a daydreamer. When Walter daydreams, he uses “ta-pocketa-pocketa-pocketa-pocketapocketa” as his noise when having his daydreams (Thurber). Walter has many fantasies in his trip with his wife.
